Tommy Vee mesmerizes again

On March 20, students and faculty alike gathered in the gymnasium for Alvirne's eighth annual, highly anticipated hypnotist show, hosted by Tommy Vee. About 25 teachers and seniors took their seats on stage in preparation for another memorable show and evening of entertainment for the Alvirne Community.
This year's show was as unforgettable as ever. Tommy Vee made English teacher Leonard Miller believe he was a heavyweight boxer, as he modeled his physique to the audience. He also caused English teacher April Rivers, senior Erica Brooks, and freshman Peter Dubois to forget their last names. Vee made history teacher Jeffrey Bourque believe he was a Japanese emperor. Vee then asked Tom Deangelis if he spoke both English and Japanese, to which the hypnotized senior replied, "Si.” Read more of the article here...
Mr. AHS 2008 Winners

For the third year in a row, Alvirne’s finest showcased their talents, good looks, and charm in the annual Mr. AHS pageant, coupled with the Prom Fashion Show sponsored by the Prom Committee. This year, senior Ricky McLaughlin and principal Bryan Lane were crowned Mr. AHS and Mr. AHS Senior, respectively, in what became a fun-filled night of ego-stroking and testosterone-fueled competition. Alvirne students venture across the Atlantic

As February vacation began, most students looked forward to an all-too-short week of lounging around the house, hanging out with friends and, of course, procrastinating about homework. Yet for some lucky Alvirne High School students, vacation was filled with much more than the usual humdrum activities.
Twenty-one students, along with guidance counselor Daniel Wells, delved into the German culture through Alvirne's eighth annual exchange program with the Carl-Orff School in Unterschleisheim.
